MIDWEST BASEMENTY BLOG - Unlevel Concrete? - How You Can Fix It Without Replacing It
Uneven, settling concrete can be the culprit of trip hazards, foundation issues, driving hazards, as well as the obvious aesthetic eye sore.
Replacing your settling concrete is expensive and takes several days to do. Raising your current concrete slab is much less intrusive, quicker and easier. Foam injecting application can level your concrete in a matter of minutes for less money and effort.
The process called PolyLevel, is simple and takes a fraction of the time that replacement does.
Step 1: Small 5/8-in. holes are bored through he sunken slab.
Step 2: An injector port is installed in each hole.
Step 3: High-density foam is injected into the port, where upon injection it expands and lifts the slab.
Step 4: With the port removed, the holes are cleaned and patched with cement.
See this video on how it works.
This solution can be used for residential as well as commercial. The foam is strong enough to lift sections of highway and precise enough to level a small sidewalk slab. Great uses for it have been, backyard pool areas, garage floors and driveways, sidewalks, school areas, airport runways, farm silos, park sidewalks and play areas, among many other places.
Putting off replacing your concrete because it is a pain is no longer an issue, now you can utilize the current concrete you have.
