Midwest Foundation Repair serving Iowa Falls

This homeowner has had Midwest out in the past for a couple different projects. He appreciates our thoroughness in walking him through the solutions and how we show him exactly what will be done and how it will be done. When he started noticing issues with his driveway, he called us right away. System Design Specialist, Kevin French, came out to meet with him. Kevin did his inspection and found the control joints were not sealed, which could allow water to seep under the slab and wash away soil. The homeowner also wanted to preserve the look of his new concrete from spalling over the winter months from the snow and ice freezing and thawing. Kevin proposed we install our NexusPro to seal the joints and keep water from getting through the cracks. When soil is washed away from this water, it can cause your concrete slabs to sink and crack. To protect the concrete against spalling, Kevin proposed we install our Sealant Pro. This is a penetrating sealer that soaks into the surface of the concrete and fills those pores so water can not absorb into the surface. The homeowner loved this solution and we sent out our installation team.  There is no doubt he has peace of mind of his concrete throughout these winter and future winter months. 

This homeowner was finishing his basement and was worried if he covered the walls, he wouldn't be able to see if the walls continued to move inward. He did not want the newly finished basement to be ruined from bowing walls. He knew of Thrashers reputation, and was confident that we would take care of him, so he gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Mike Portel, came out to meet with him. Mike did his inspection, and saw the walls were bowing in and at stage 2 wall failure. This was caused from the clay bowl effect where water builds up around a foundation when it rains, causing excess pressure on the walls. Overtime, the walls will start to bow in and can lead to complete wall failure. Mike took these findings and went back to the homeowner. He proposed we use our Geolock wall anchors to hold the walls back and allow him to move the walls back with time using our tightening bolt. The homeowner loved this solution and we sent out our installation team. We are sure this homeowner has the peace of mind he needs to finish his basement. 

This homeowner was dealing with mold in the basement for 25 years and knew he needed to start on a permanent solution. He had heard of Thrasher and our reputation, as well as knowing we had helped his brothers in past. He gave us a call and System Design Specialist, Jon Patterson, came out to meet him. Jon saw the mess in the basement caused by water getting in through the walls and cold joint. Jon proposed we use Waterguard and Cleanspace to catch the water coming in and flow it into a sump system. Cleanspace is installed on the wall to catch the water, and Waterguard is our drainage system. Best thing is these systems are waterproof, so it prevents any mold from forming. The homeowners loved this solution and we sent out our install team. There is no doubt this homeowner will not be needing to worry about mold or water issues any time soon. 

The homeowners were experiencing foundation issues on multiple walls of their home's foundation. They did not want to move from their home so they knew they needed to get this fixed. They reached out to Midwest to see what we could do. They liked how our System Design Specialist was able to explain everything to them and propose an on-the-spot estimate. 

We installed PowerBraces to stabilize the foundation walls on multiple walls. The customer was very happy with the project salesman, the crew, and the company.

The homeowner has lived in this house for a long time. He wanted to make sure he and his wife could continue living there and feel safe that their home is safe. They looked at multiple solutions to fix their crumbling foundation wall but liked our solution over any other one.

We installed our Everbrace system to repair their home's foundation. EverBrace was custom-designed to fit their wall and remove the weight of the home off the foundation. They loved the solution and how their foundation was completely stable. 

The homeowner wanted to make their basement more usable. They had multiple areas where water would come into the basement and had large vertical cracks. After reaching out to Midwest, we proposed a solution fit for them. We installed CarbonArmor to stabilize the wall where there was cracking, as well as installed WaterGuard and CleanSpace with a TripleSafe pump to waterproof the area. 

Their basement is now safer and more useable bringing up the value of the home. 

A homeowner in Iowa Fall, IA was ready to create more living space in his home. He was looking to add a living room and bedroom in the basement, but before he could start the project, he wanted to get his basement waterproofed. He noticed that water was entering the basement in multiple spots.

The crew started with installing WaterGuard, a waterproofing system for the basement, that would direct the water to the Triple Safe Sump Pump that was also installed. Then to keep the walls dry we encapsulated the space with CleanSpace.

A homeowner in Hubbard, IA noticed that she had sagging floors in her kitchen and hallway. Also, the floors on the main level were starting to settle. After having a flooring specialist come out to the home, they recommend that more support was needed.

She decided to call Midwest. We were able to come out to her home and evaluate the problem. The support jacks she had her unable to support the floor and allowing the sagging to happen. We installed new supplemental beams with 3 SmartJacks to support the flooring and get rid of the sagging. Also, some of the wood columns were splitting, so we installed 4 new SmartJacks with good footings  as well.

This homeowner in Holland, IA has plans in place to leave the home to her children in the future and wanted peace of mind knowing it was going to be in the best possible condition for them. The concrete around the home had suffered from settling and cracking over time and looking for a permanent solution she gave us at Midwest a call.

Midwest arrived at the Holland, IA home to perform a thorough inspection of all concrete on the property. The customer opted to have us install our 2-part concrete protection system that consists of PolyLevel lifting foam and NexusPro sealer. PolyLevel is injected first to permanently lift and stabilize the sunken areas. NexusPro is then applied to seal all cracks and control joints to prevent any moisture from infiltrating the concrete in the future. The customer was impressed with the effectiveness of our concrete repair solutions. She was relieved knowing the value of the property was restored and in the best shape for her children.

Kempton Y. had water in the basement of his Stanhope, IA home. He was very frustrated at the situation like any homeowner would be. He tried to mitigate the situation with fans, towels, and even a wet vac. But the water prevailed and he decided that he needed help. He called the experts at Midwest.

We came in for a free inspection and suggested that we install our patented solution called WaterGaurd and CleanSpace. Waterguard is installed by removing concrete around the perimeter of your basement and installing a warrantied drainage system. CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that is placed on the walls and directs water to the WaterGuard system. Used in conjunction they are truly a basement-saver. 

Rodney M was starting to notice the shape of his concrete was starting to shift on his driveway. During an annual maintenance call Rodney showed Service Tech Brandon Roost, the concrete and voiced his concerns and talked about looking for a permanent to save the concrete.

 Brandon identified that the concrete on the sidewalks and driveway were getting water intrusion which allowed the concrete to shift, this was caused by unsealed joints. We were able to apply NexusPro Joint Sealant and a hydrophobic poly to close the voids. Rodney was pleased with how this saved his concrete and improved the overall look of his home. 

Brent received a lot of snow in Dike, IA and noticed when it started meliting he saw water in his basement. He called us immediately and asked for somebody to come out and look at why he was getting water in his basement. We had our Sales Manager, Rod come out and look at his basement and noticed that it was all around his house. Rod sat down with Brent and his wife and talked through what he would have to do to prevent the water coming in. 

Rod told him the best solution would be water guard around hs whole house. Water guard is a designed piping system that is engineered is very efficient, long-lasting interior perimeter basement waterproofing system. It sits on top of the footing instead of alongside th footing. This prevents mud coming into the drain. The water guard can go around the whole outside of the house or it can just go in a certain part. It just depends on where the water is coming from and how much water is coming in.
