These homeowners were worried about mold, allergens, and water coming through the walls. They wanted a company that could explain what was happening, and could do the job right the first time. They called Midwest and System Design Specialist, Brandon Rost, came out to meet with them. Brandon found the walls has half an inch deflection and water stains through the walls. He proposed we use CleanSpace as a barrier for the water to stay out of the basement and prevent mold and allergens, as well as PowerBraces to stop the walls from deflection and falling in anymore. He also proposed our Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier to keep the moisture levels down, preventing mold even more. Check out the photos how PowerBraces and CleanSpace looks in action!

Stair Step Cracking

On the wall on the left, you can see cracking starting to happen in a stairstep like pattern. When cracking starts to happen up to down versus left to right, it is most likely more fully foundational issues over just a singular wall issue.

Slight Bowing Walls

On these walls, you can see a slight bend in the wall, and water stains starting to form. We proposed to use CleanSpace and PowerBraces to collect the water and prevent mold, as well as stop the walls from falling in anymore.

CleanSpace, PowerBraces, and Dehumidifier Installed

The "white stuff" on the walls is our CleanSpace. It is a durable, tarp like material that collects the water and acts as a barrier. The PowerBraces are those metal braces from top to bottom of the wall. These will help stop any more leaning of the walls, and overtime can help straighten the wall back out. The dehumidifier is the black box in the corner, this reduces moisture and helps keeps mold from forming.

CleanSpace and PowerBraces

This full height CleanSpace helps collect water and feed it into a waterproofing system to shoot it away from the home at a safe distance. This is a very strong tarp like material, so no need to worry of it tearing! The PowerBraces here help the walls stabilize, and over the years can be torqued to help straighten it back out.
