This homeowner lives alone and rarely could get into her basement. She was worried that the walls would cave in between the times she could get down there. She knew of Thrashers reputation, and gave us a call. Kevin French came out to meet with her. After inspection her foundation, it was clear her walls were in very bad shape. Over time the soil around her foundation had shifted and allowed her walls to be less supported. Kevin proposed we use Power Braces to give that support back to the wall. With all of the dry weather the ground has released a lot of water and shriveled up.  During this process the soil will pull away from the foundation walls. This will allow movement and settlement of the basement foundation walls. This is an example of cracks in the wall and the wall is bowing. The wall can be braced and stabilized with bracing. In many cases the wall can be straightened back to plumb.
