These homeowners starting seeing water stains and cracking forming in their basement. They were worried about mold, allergens and water coming through the wall, so they called Midwest! They wanted the job to be done right the first time, and knew they could trust us to take care of them. Brandon Rost, System Design Specialist, came out to meet them. After the inspection, Brandon proposed installing CleanSpace, PowerBraces, and a Sedona Dehumidifier. CleanSpace would be used as a barrier between the wall and the basement. CleanSpace helps prevent water from entering the basement, as well as preventing mold from forming and allergens from getting in. CleanSpace is waterproof, so if water gets in, it flows down the tarp like material and into the waterproofing system. This way, water does not sit in one place, which can cause mold to grow. To help the cracking and slight deflection of the wall, he proposed PowerBraces. These are metal braces that are installed to the wall that stop the walls from caving in anymore, as well as can help straighten the wall over time. The dehumidifier would also help prevent mold from growing by keeping the moisture levels down. The homeowners were excited with this idea, and we sent out the installation team. The homeowners were happy they were able to understand why the problems they were facing were happening, and what the best solution was. Check out the before and after photos of these walls!
This homeowner was getting water into his basement again and didn't want it to ruin his furniture or storage area. He had waterproofing done before, but wanted his remaining areas of his basement waterproofed. He called Midwest and System Design Specialist, Elliot Christians, came out to meet with them. After an inspection, Elliot proposed we use a full height of CleanSpace and WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. CleanSpace is used as a barrier between the wall and basement. It is a very sturdy tarp like material that is very hard to tear. If water comes through the walls through cracks or joints, it will trickle down the CleanSpace and into the WaterGuard. WaterGuard is our drainage system that will then flow the water into the sump pump and out of the home at a safe distance. Great thing about interior waterproofing is when any water finds its way in, it redirects it back out of the home, so you can still have a fully finished basement! Homeowner Keith wanted to find a solution to ensure that his home was safe and protected. Since this customer has been happy with our work in the past, he chose Midwest to help secure this part of his home.
System Design Specialist Ryan Allen was able to come up with a permanent solution that fit the customers needs. Since the wall was short, we installed Geolock anchors to secure the wall prevent the joints from getting worse.
Home owner Jim S. wanted his concrete lifted and sealed before building a new deck and landscaping in that area.
System Design Specialist Elliott Christians was able to diagnose the issue and provide a long term solution. We started with leveling concrete with Polylevel and then applying NexusPro Joint Sealant to seal of the joints and then applied SealantPro over the top as a protective layer for the concrete.
