This home had a large driveway with deep cracks. The homeowner wanted to extend the life of the concrete for as long as possible and avoid having to replace it at all costs. Concerned with people tripping, they knew they had to get it fixed. They worked with Midwest in the past, so they knew how timely and thorough we were on our diagnosis. We sent Mike Portel, System Design Specialist, to inspect the concrete and develop a proposal.
Upon inspection, he confirmed several concrete slabs across the driveway and sidewalk had settled anywhere from 1/2" to 1 1/2". To fix the issue, we used PolyLevel; a foam injected in pea-size holes that fill in voids underneath the surface of the concrete and lifts the current slab to its original position. To fix cracks and joints, we then used NexusPro.
The homeowners were extremely satisfied and surprised with how quick we got it all done!
The soil goes through changes. When it rains, the soil soaks up water and expands. But when it's dry, it shrinks. This shrinkage makes gaps in the ground. So, the heavy concrete on top doesn't have enough support, and that leads to cracks and sinking into those gaps.
This can be a big problem, especially in busy places like a patio where people can trip. The good news is, we have a solution! We inject a structural foam under the concrete to fill those gaps and give the concrete the support it needs.
Mr. and Mrs. Dixon had been dealing with this problem for awhile now but decided to call Midwest Foundation Repair when their son tripped over the front stoop and hurt himself.
Mr. Dixon called and wanted somebody to come out and take a look to see if it was something that could get fixed. The System Design Specialist described to him what we could for him. He explained how we would level the concrete and how it would be done.
Travis came out and did the work for Mr. and Mrs. Dixon. They were very happy with the work that was done. They told Travis that they would recommend us for anything if the future.
This homeowner was concerned because his pool deck was sinking. He knew that we offered services to fix this problem in his area, so he gave us a call. We sent System Design Specialist Brandon Cunningham to inspect the pool deck and determine what was causing this problem as well as determine what solutions our team could offer to fix it. Brandon found that the soil underneath the pool deck was poorly compacted, so the soil had washed out then dried up overtime. After his inspection, he discussed with the homeowner the solutions we could offer, and the homeowner was very excited to have this problem fixed. One of our installation teams went our to this home and utilized PolyLevel foam and NexusPro sealant to lift, level, and seal the pool deck. The homeowner was super happy with the way it turned out, and now he can enjoy his pool this summer! Check out the newly leveled pool deck!

Our System Design Specialist, Luke Miller arrived at the home in Bondurant, Iowa and inspected the broken driveway. Joshua opted to have our crews install our 2-part concrete protection system to restore this driveway and bring him peace of mind. The project began by installing our PolyLevel foam underneath the slabs to permanently lift and level them. Our NexusPro sealer was then applied to all cracks and control joints to prevent water infiltration in the future.
Joshua couldn't have been more pleased with his Midwest experience and the solutions we provided.
