Bending Basement Walls Repaired in Des Moines, IA

The customer prioritized ensuring the structural stability of her house, having already addressed all other necessary repairs. One of the pressing issues she encountered was a bowing wall with noticeable deflection, which had worsened since the previous year. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, we employed power braces as an effective solution to rectify the problem. Through the gradual application of power braces, we can safely and steadily restore the wall to its proper alignment.

Take a look at the before and after of this homeowner's basement wall. There was some movement of the wall, leaning in and allowing water in. To fix the issue, Midwest came out to install our waterproof encapsulation, Cleanspace, and Power Braces to keep the water out of the basement and straighten the wall back out over time.

Foundation Support in Des Moines, IA

The support beams in this basement were not installed properly and were not able to support the load causing the floors of the home to sag. After installing our Smart Jack System, the foundation of the home is now supported properly, and this customer can feel safe in their basement.

Geilesha K. was noticing some moisture in her recently purchased home in Des Moines, IA. After removing some of the drywall she discovered that the foundation was bowing in and crumbling. She heard about Midwest and the good warranties we offered with our products, so she gave us a call to learn more about bowing wall solutions.

System Design Specialist Nicholas Hruska went out to Geilesha’s home. During the inspection, he was able to identify that two of the walls were crumbling and bowing several inches. The crew installed PowerBraces and a wall anchor system to permanently stabilize the foundation. Then applied ShotLock over the walls, making them look new again. Geilesha was extremely happy with how the walls looked when the project was finished and very happy with the efficiency of the crew.

Driveway Fixed in Ankeny, IA

This homeowner recently decided to do something about the sunken concrete driveway at their home. To address this issue, we used PolyLevel polyurethane foam which is injected beneath the concrete slabs through small ports, filling cracks and crevices in the soil. As it expands and hardens, it lifts the concrete slabs, restoring them to their proper position while simultaneously compressing the surrounding soil. One advantage of PolyLevel is how fast it works, you can resume normal use of your concrete just 15 minutes after the process is completed.
