Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

This homeowner was tired of the "speed bump" due to concrete settling as he entered and left his garage. He did not want to replace the drive and also has no plans of moving. He knew roughly what it would take to replace his driveway fully, and knew it would be more affordable to fix. He knew of Thrasher reputation and gave us a call. James Denning, System Design Specialist, came out to meet with him. James saw how settled the driveway was and the homeowner joked that he would either need to get his driveway fixed or buy a Jeep! James helped this homeowner by proposing we use our PolyLevel to lift the sections of the driveway that have sunk, and NexusPro to seal the joints. We also installed a compression guard to provide a true buffer between the street and his home. The customer's main concerns were keeping this her forever home and making sure it holds property value. The major problem we found with the foundation was the walls failing. The worst wall had a deflection of 2 1/2 inches. Air and water were getting in through a couple of cracks that has formed on her wall. That caused, hydrostatic pressure over time pushing on the wall allowing it to get to stage 2 wall failure. 

We were able to fix the problem and give the homeowner peace of mind that her wall would not bow in any further and possibly straighten the wall by bracing the wall with our PowerBraces. We were able to secure 3 of our lever bracket style PowerBraces to her worst wall.

She was very happy with the installation and very pleased with how fast and efficient the crew was. This project stands out because on the day we were out there, she knew she had wall failure but didn't know how bad it was. I quoted two walls and this wall was the worst. This homeowner wanted to get his house fixed up before his daughter came to visit him. We sent System Design Specialist Kevin French to inspect the support underneath the floor, and see what was happening. Kevin took a look in the crawlspace and saw that there was no climate control system in the crawlspace which had allowed the supports to sink down and not hold up the floor anymore. After showing this to the homeowner and reassuring that this problem can be fixed, the homeowner was relieved that someone had finally given him a solution. Our team went out to the home and installed SmartJacks and a supplemental support beam to lift the floors closer to being flat. These products helped to strengthen and stabilize the floor so that the home was more secure.
