Compromised foundation walls were leading to huge problems in the customer's house. We used the EverBrace Wall Restoration System which is a method suitable for many types of foundation walls like field stone, clay block, brick, poured concrete, and concrete block walls. While other solutions address early foundation wall issues, only the EverBrace system can tackle the restoration of severely compromised or neglected foundation walls. With the EverBrace, we provided the customer with the security of a new foundation without the exorbitant costs and disruptions associated with a complete replacement. The system was skillfully installed and seamlessly integrated, allowing for easy concealment with drywall while accommodating windows, doorways, and other structural components.
This homeowner moved all the way from California to Iowa, hoping for a fresh start in a house they really liked. But when they got there, they found out that the house had some problems with the foundation and basement. They knew they had to take care of it right away because they wanted a safe and stable place to live.
They got in touch with our team, and we knew exactly what to do. Our experienced crew quickly noticed that the walls made of clay blocks were bending inwards, and there were issues with moisture in the basement. We were especially concerned because the homeowner had some health problems, and we wanted to make sure they had a healthy space to live. We recommended using our EverBrace™ system to make the foundation walls stronger and protect it from further damage. We also used our expertise in basement waterproofing to deal with the moisture and prevent any mold from growing.
The homeowner trusted us to take care of their home, and we worked hard to make their vision a reality. Now they have a stable and dry living space in Iowa, just the way they wanted it. It's a place where they can feel safe and healthy.
Homeowner Ralph H. in Boone, IA noticed that there were cracks appearing in his foundation. Fearing that there was a lot of pressure on his foundation walls from a previous leak, he wanted to have a peace of mind in knowing his walls were stable. Looking for a company with a good reputation for fixing foundation, he decided to give Midwest a call.
Service Technician Michael Holtzbauer went out to Ralph’s home. After inspecting the walls, he was able to identify that the basement wall was in stage one wall failure with deflection and diagonal cracking on the poured foundation. The crew installed PowerBraces around the full perimeter of the basement to support the whole wall. Ralph was very pleased with the outcome of the project and glad to know that is home is properly supported.
This homeowner wanted to stabilize a basement wall from further movement inward. When we inspected the foundation, we found the wall was pushing inward about 1/4" since last year. The problem was coming from saturated soil because of moisture which was putting more pressure on the walls.
We fixed the problem by putting up PowerBraces to support the walls. We used PowerBraces to support the whole wall and stop the inward movement.
The customer was happy with the results and happy she no longer has to worry about her foundation walls.
