Foundation Repair in Boone, IA

This homeowner wanted to stabilize a basement wall from further movement inward. When we inspected the foundation, we found the wall was pushing inward about 1/4" since last year. The problem was coming from saturated soil because of moisture which was putting more pressure on the walls.

We fixed the problem by putting up PowerBraces to support the walls. We used PowerBraces to support the whole wall and stop the inward movement.

The customer was happy with the results and happy she no longer has to worry about her foundation walls.

This homeowner had a block wall leaning in their basement. They wanted to start remodeling their basement, so they knew the first thing they had to do was address their bowing wall. So they called Midwest.

Jon Patterson performed the inspection and decided the best solution for these failing walls were to install PowerBraces. Our install team got onsite and successfully were able to stabilize the bowing walls and save their basement and foundation. Now the homeowner is excited to get started on finishing the basement.

Joint Sealing in Des Moines, IA.

Janice was concerned about the joints in the concrete next to her home. She was afraid of water pooling and causing further damage to her concrete. She knew that going with Midwest was the best choice in helping seal the joints. For this project, NexusPro was used not only seal the joints in her driveway but along the sidewalk in front of her home. She can now rest easy so that water won't get under her concrete and cause settling or cracking.

Concrete Repair in Des Moines, IA

This home had a large driveway with deep cracks. The homeowner wanted to extend the life of the concrete for as long as possible and avoid having to replace it at all costs. Concerned with people tripping, they knew they had to get it fixed. They worked with Midwest in the past, so they knew how timely and thorough we were on our diagnosis. We sent Mike Portel, System Design Specialist, to inspect the concrete and develop a proposal.

Upon inspection, he confirmed several concrete slabs across the driveway and sidewalk had settled anywhere from 1/2" to 1 1/2". To fix the issue, we used PolyLevel; a foam injected in pea-size holes that fill in voids underneath the surface of the concrete and lifts the current slab to its original position. To fix cracks and joints, we then used NexusPro.

The homeowners were extremely satisfied and surprised with how quick we got it all done!

Concrete Repair in Cedar Falls, IA

Kyle kept tripping on his walkway and driveway. Plus running a snowplow over settled concrete was the worst. So he contacted Midwest and liked our solution. Todd King, our System Design Specialist, went out to Kyle's home to see how we could help.

A few of Kyle's slabs had a lot of voids underneath the concrete, which is what made them sink. His sidewalk was also experiencing settled slabs due to the soil around it.

To fix this, we used our Concrete Protection System 3. This involves lifting the areas that had fallen with PolyLevel, sealing all the joints and cracks with NexusPro, and then we applied SealantPro to the entire area to prolong the concrete's life and keep water and chemicals from penetrating the concrete.

Kyle was so happy with the final result and best of all, no more tripping hazards!
