This homeowner had water in the basement and she was confused. Previously, she had foundation support systems installed and water had never been a problem in her basement. She called out our Service Technicians for a look as to what was happening in our basement.
We sent Service Technician Ryan Allen to inspect the source of the water in her basement. Ryan was at first perplexed as to why this problem began, as he has done maintenance for this homeowner for the past couple of years. He found that there was water seeping in through the cold joints that were shown in the basement walls. Ryan knew just how to solve this by utilizing WaterGuard Interior Drainage System and CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier. These solutions were perfect for the homeowner as she would no longer have to worry about a surprise water problem in her basement.

St. Patrick's Church council members in Nevada, Iowa were concerned because the parishioners could potentially trip and fall on the concrete ledge leading to the entrance of the social hall. One of the council members recommended they call us at Midwest, so we came out to assess the problem.
We sent System Design Specialist Nick Wessling to assess what was causing this tripping hazard at the entrance. He determined that a poorly designed downspout was releasing water right next to the concrete entrance, so the water was washing out the soil underneath the concrete entrance. After discussion with the council members, Nick and his team got to work on fixing this tripping hazard. They replaced the nearby downspout with a buried downspout leading away from the concrete. Also, they utilized our 2-part Concrete Protection System which includes PolyLevel Concrete Leveling and NexusPro Cracked Concrete Repair to lift and seal the concrete entrance.
The church members were so excited when this project was done. Check out this church entrance repair!
This homeowner was frustrated as her concrete had been undermined by chipmunks and rainwater that washed out the soil underneath the concrete. She had enough of these struggles, so she called us.
We sent System Design Specialist Nick Wessling to inspect the unique concrete problem and answer all questions that this homeowner had. Nick determined that the voids underneath the concrete created by the eroding soil and chipmunk areas led to the concrete breaking and settling over an inch. The homeowner was impressed with this assessment and wanted to complete this project with us. Nick and his team used PolyLevel Concrete Leveling and NexusPro Cracked Concrete Repair to raise the settled concrete and seal it off from water or chipmunks getting into the joints of the concrete.
The homeowner was very excited with the final result as she wanted to do this project for a while. Check our her concrete restoration!
This homeowner was worried about the water that was flooding towards her foundation. Her sump pump was working well to keep water out, however she was worried that it would get overwhelmed and stop working in the future. Unsure of where water was flowing to her foundation, she called us for her free estimate.
We sent System Design Specialist Tyler Paulson to inspect the home's perimeter and determine the path the water was flowing towards the homeowner's foundation. Tyler found that the driveway concrete was uneven and water was flowing in between the voids that the concrete left and towards the foundation. The soil underneath the driveway had eroded, so there were gaps for water to sneak towards the foundation. Tyler and his team knew just what to do, so after consulting the homeowner, they began to repair the driveway. The crew leveled and sealed the concrete so that water could no longer flow underneath the concrete using PolyLevel Concrete Leveling and NexusPro Cracked Concrete Repair.
The customer was very satisfied with the work that was done, and she no longer has to worry about her sump pump becoming overwhelmed. Check out her driveway repair!
This homeowner's daughter and grandson have been living in her basement. Recently, the family was having problems with water getting in the basement, as well as bad air quality, which lead to allergies. The homeowner was concerned about her grandson's allergies, so she decided to schedule her annual maintenance with us urgently.
We sent Service Technician Austin Dermody to inspect the problem and come up with a solution that fits the homeowner's basement. He found that the high humidity along with poor circulation was causing the homeowner's grandson to have allergy problems indoors. Austin also discovered that the sump pump was 20 years old, and needed to be replaced. The homeowner was worried as the financial burden of replacing a sump pump was expensive, however with our help, we were able to finance her repairs so that her quality of life and her family's quality of life could improve. Austin and his team got to work on installing a new sump pump to ensure that water would leave the house and that the drainage was proper. They also replaced the humidifier in the home to ensure that the humidity was under control.
The homeowner was very happy with the way the project ended. She is excited for her family as her daughter and grandson can now have a high quality of life.
