Walls Caving and Water Damage in Cedar Falls, IA

These homeowners could not use their basement due to the walls caving in and water consistently flooding their home. Concerned, they called our team. Our team fixed this by creating a water-tight seal around the basement walls and installing power braces to the walls to repair the previous damage. The homeowners are thrilled that they can now use their basement without issues. The image above demonstrates the caving walls and water damage in the basement before we started to solve this issue. The after photo shows our power braces that give the walls the structural integrity they were missing, in addition to the waterproof barrier that was installed to prevent further water from causing damage.

Concrete Repair in Cambridge, IA

This homeowner wanted to fix his concrete before they built a new deck and landscaped around the area.

During our inspection, we determined the driveway slabs had settled due to soil washout. To fix this issue, we did our Concrete Protection Three System on the whole driveway area. This includes PolyLevel to lift the slab to its original position, Nexus to seal cracks and joints, and SealantPro to protect the surface of the driveway from moisture.

The customer was happy with the project and is excited to start on their new deck.

Concrete Repair in Garner, IA

This customer had sunken concrete. Our team at Midwest visited the property and determined the best solution would to use PolyLevel to lift, level, and fill the voids in the soil beneath the slab. And then use NexusPro to seal any cracks and joints.

The customer was happy with the results and glad that there is now no more tripping hazards!

Foundation Repair in Iowa Falls

This customer owned this rental property that was experiencing bowing walls in the basement. They knew they had to fix this issue for several reasons: to protect their investment, prevent further damage to the home, and avoid having to displace a tenant if the walls were to collapse.

Mike Portal, a System Design Specialist at Midwest, went out to the home to conduct an inspection. He found that the walls were bowing in, and each foundation wall was in various stages of wall failure.

To solve this problem, we installed PowerBraces. This system is made from galvanized steel beams that will not rust and will straighten the walls with time. In just two days, the Midwest team secured and stabilized all walls in the basement. This was especially crucial for the homeowner to make sure we weren't invading the tenant's space for an extended period of time.

This customer was grateful we were able to save the failing foundation walls and felt the Midwest team went above and beyond to exceed expectations.

Basement Waterproofing in Waterloo, IA

This homeowner had recently finished their basement to get it ready to put on the market. During the spring, when the ground melted, they noticed water coming in from behind the stairs, ruining the drywall. So they called Midwest to come out and inspect. Mike Portal was the one to perform the inspection. He found that the water was coming in behind the finished walls through the cold and mortar joints on the block wall. This happened due to hydrostatic pressure from water filling up around the foundation.

To fix this issue, we installed WaterGuard and CleanSpace along the wall where the water was coming in. This will help direct and drain the water away from the home.

The homeowner now feels confident in our solution and is happy they won't have to deal with water ruining any more drywall in their home.
