Basement Foundation Repair in Des Moines, IA

Geilesha K. was noticing some moisture in her recently purchased home in Des Moines, IA. After removing some of the drywall she discovered that the foundation was bowing in and crumbling. She heard about Midwest and the good warranties we offered with our products, so she gave us a call to learn more about bowing wall solutions.

System Design Specialist Nicholas Hruska went out to Geilesha’s home. During the inspection, he was able to identify that two of the walls were crumbling and bowing several inches. The crew installed PowerBraces and a wall anchor system to permanently stabilize the foundation. Then applied ShotLock over the walls, making them look new again. Geilesha was extremely happy with how the walls looked when the project was finished and very happy with the efficiency of the crew.

Dark Crawl Space Made Usable in Clive, IA

Homeowner Susan M. in Clive, IA was growing tired of the crawl space always being dirty and having bugs and mice in the space. The space has never been sealed off from the outside, so she was ready to make the space feel cleaner and brighter. Having used Midwest in the past, she didn’t hesitate to give us a call again.

Service Technician Brandon Roast went out to Susan’s home. He performed a thorough inspection of the crawl space. It was dark and the plastic lining had many holes in it. The crew encapsulated the space with CleanSpace and sealed up all the seams and tops to make sure the space was useable, and nothing could get in the crawl space again. Susan was very impressed with the quality of work and how well the crew worked together.

Cracking Foundation Walls in Boone, IA

Homeowner Ralph H. in Boone, IA noticed that there were cracks appearing in his foundation. Fearing that there was a lot of pressure on his foundation walls from a previous leak, he wanted to have a peace of mind in knowing his walls were stable. Looking for a company with a good reputation for fixing foundation, he decided to give Midwest a call.

Service Technician Michael Holtzbauer went out to Ralph’s home. After inspecting the walls, he was able to identify that the basement wall was in stage one wall failure with deflection and diagonal cracking on the poured foundation. The crew installed PowerBraces around the full perimeter of the basement to support the whole wall. Ralph was very pleased with the outcome of the project and glad to know that is home is properly supported.

Concrete Step Leveled in Des Moines, IA

Homeowner Connie T. noticed that her front step had dropped and had become a trip hazard. Concerned that this would become a big hazard and impact other areas of the concrete, she wanted to find a long-term solution that would last. After seeing one of our commercial, she decided to give us a call.

System Design Specialist Todd King went out to Connie’s home. He was able to identify that the front step done dropped a significant level and recommended using PolyLevel to fix the steps. The crew injected the concrete with PolyLevel raising the step back up the original height. Connie was extremely pleased that the step was no longer a trip hazard.

Wet Basement in Iowa Falls, IA Waterproofed

Dave H. has been wanting to finish his basement to add more living space. He noticed that water was entering in multiple areas, and it was affecting the project. Looking to continue with finishing the basement, he called Midwest to learn more about waterproofing his basement.

System Design Specialist Tyler Dopheide went out to Dave’s home. He was able to identify the areas that water was coming in and come up with a water proofing solution for the basement. The crew started with installing WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement and then installing a Triple Safe Sump Pump, so then the water would have a place to go and not collect in the basement. Then to keep the walls dry, we encapsulated the space with CleanSpace. Dave was very happy with how the project turned out and gave us a 10/10.
